Video metadata is broader than EXIF
A video container can hold descriptive tags, dates, track names, chapters, subtitles, attachments, and data tracks alongside picture and audio. EXIF is not a complete description of that structure.
This tool rebuilds supported video containers with their recognized picture and audio streams. It copies encoded packets, so those streams are not re-encoded. It clears MP4 creation and modification date fields and leaves out source descriptive tags and original track names.

Clean a video
MP4 and MOV inputs export as MP4. WebM stays WebM. The tool checks supported stream properties, track counts, packet counts, and descriptive tags before offering a download.
Codec and container support determine whether a file can be processed. Files with unsupported streams or edits that cannot be preserved are rejected. Hidden, trimmed material is not silently restored.
- Choose an MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 100 MB.
- Review the detected metadata categories and select Remove metadata.
- Download and play the resulting file in your usual player.
Review the picture and sound
Removing container tags does not hide a face, a license plate, a spoken name, a landmark, or a visible watermark. It also does not inspect every kind of codec-level data.
Keep the original separately, and review the entire clean copy. This is a practical metadata cleaner, not a forensic anonymization service.
